This year, the Conference will focus on developments in the independent arena and explore the growing divsions and contradictions between mainstream and independent filmmaking. During this intensive weekend of panels, small group sessions, and one-on-one opportunities with some of the best minds in the independent film business, participants will delve into topics including marketing, distribution, finance, the elusive art of pitching and the overall changing climate of independent film production.
To apply for the Independent Producers Conference, go to www.sundance.org/ipc or email producers@sundance.org for more information.
Application deadline is May 30, 2008
“Something that is often overlooked is that every movie begins and ends with the producer. A producer must be able to identify great material, develop it, find the right actors who enhance it, and make it with fiscal responsibility.”
- Graham Taylor, Endeavor Talent Agency
Head, Independent Department
