Fall Semester Interns needed at Sidney Kimmel Entertainment, an LA- based independent production company and financier (Death at a Funeral, United 93, Breach, The Kite Runner, Adventureland, Lars and the Real Girl). Lots of reading and script analysis, clerical work and special research projects. It's a relaxed office with many projects in various stages of development, production and distribution. Ideal candidates are outgoing, well-read and have discerning taste and an eagerness to learn. Film/English/Creative Writing background is a plus but not necessary, but a love of movies is. Unpaid, college credit required. Send resume and cover letter to jobs@skefilms.com with INTERNSHIP in the title.

The internship involves A LOT of coverage (a script a day) so it would best for someone interested in screenwriting and not production. Typically the interns will read incoming scripts and provide coverage or notes. They will also cover reception when she needs to step away from her desk, keep a tracking grid of up-and-coming directors and projects, and occasionally make copies.
