The American Pavilion, a communications and hospitality center at the Cannes Film Festival since 1989, seeks a mature, dynamic team member with experience in youth programs to assist with the management of three established student programs in Cannes, Venice, and Los Angeles. The Administrative Coordinator, Student Programs serves as support staff and reports directly to the Student Programs Director and The American Pavilion Managing Director.
Responsibilities include:
* Process applications and registration materials for all three student programs, maintaining database, financial records and files of hard copies
* Create and implement marketing plans to grow L.A. Intensive and Venice Programs
* Organize mailings of promotional materials to over 500 campuses
* Facilitate campus visits for Student Programs Director (typically between 50 and 80 schools)
* Serve as point of communication for applicants and participants via phone and email throughout application process, acceptance and pre-event preparation
* Implement deadlines for participants' paperwork
* Communicate status of applicants/participants to Student Programs Director and other staff on a regular basis
* Manage logistics/paperwork/travel of student staff
* Assist Student Programs Director with all aspects of planning prior to each event, including logistics, programming, management of student travel and paperwork
Requirements:
* Minimum of five years office experience
* Proven track record in development/implementation of youth programs
* Proven ability to think on your feet in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
* Desire and willingness to take initiative and work independently
* Superior organization and communication skills
* Ability to thrive in stressful situations
* Proficiency with Macintosh computers, FileMaker Pro and Microsoft Office
* Willingness to work long hours and weekends when necessary

PT Internship at Monterrey Pictures
Part-time Internship available with Monterrey Pictures Entertainment:
Monterrey Pictures Entertainment is seeking an intern starting immediately to assist in development, research, and administration in its Los Angeles office (Van Nuys).
The position can be anywhere between 10 to 30 hours per week, and we are quite flexible in this matter. The term of this internship program is indefinite. Later this year we will be seeking another intern in our New York City offices.
The intern can work out of our Van Nuys offices, or remotely, or both. The intern should be able to provide their own transportation to and from the office location (and other designated meeting locations), and we will reimburse the intern for all transportation costs.
We can work with your university to provide you with the appropriate credits, should that be available through your program.
This internship is unpaid, but the intern will gain experience from two producing executives, and be involved in some exciting film projects, many with Latino content and talent.

The Center leverages its federal appropriation with an active fundraising program, proceeds from annual events and the expertise and loaned artifacts from Smithsonian museums. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director, in concert with the Secretary and Under Secretary, is responsible for defining and communicating the Center’s mission, goals and programs within the context of the Smithsonian’s overall goals and objectives.
The Director works closely with the Center’s advisors and staff to accomplish the Center’s goals, secure private and public funding and broaden constituencies.
The Director collaborates on Latino programming with Smithsonian museums, educational programs, affiliate museums and outside organizations to leverage ideas and resources and promote the Center’s mission.
Additionally the Director administers the Latino Pool, a $1 million dollar annual grant program, supported by a congressional appropriation, for Latino oriented projects within the Smithsonian.
The Director serves as the principal fundraiser in partnership with the Center’s Boards and the Smithsonian’s central development office to increase resources available for projects and programs.
The Director manages the Center’s fiscal and human resources.
